Self portrait artists inspiration
In terms of finding self
portrait artists for inspiration for my self portrait video project, I
found existing self portrait videos made by other people/students which
gave me a lot of inspiration.

This video is a simplified version of a self portrait, where it depicts a man's several facial expressions, emotions and movements overlapping eachother with an instrumental backdrop.
What I got out of this
video for inspiration was the method of how the artist expressed
himself. I liked how the artist created his profile just by the
overlapping method of how he put himself in this video which gave me the
inspiration of planning the ending of my video in a similar fashion.

For this
video, you see a self portrait of a girl's activities and hobbies. The
video shows an animated drawing of a Girl with 5 different frames
surrounding the drawing. These 5 frames/panels shows a part of the
girl's interests, personality and hobbies that defines her. The first
panel shows that the Girl loves reading, while the second panel shows
that the girl loves flowers or smelling flowers or both. The third panel
shows that the girl likes to listen to music, while the fourth panel
she enjoys sweet food like, cupcakes. The fifth and final panel Shows
that the girl enjoys art as she is seen sketching/drawing. The video
then goes back to the animated drawing representing the girl as all 5
panels join together as the animated drawing transforms into the girl in
real life.
This Video
is the main source of inspiration for my project. What I liked about the
video is how the girl expressed herself by showing different sides of
her hobbies and interests and how they all joined together to make one
entity which is the girl. I have a similar idea to how I would like to
express my portait via hobbies but in a slightly different method. I
chose this video as a main source of inspiration that got me to the
planning table.
I have
looked into other videos as well but I only chose to review these 2
videos specifically since thay both contained inspirational ideas for
the project. The other videos contained great ideas however I couldn't
gfind any form of inspiration in regards to the style that I
particularly had in my mind.
