this project I have chosen to use the Drama Thriller series ‘Homeland’.

Homeland
is a 5 season Drama Thriller series from the
‘Showtime’ channel from 2011-present day. It can also be found on Channel 4 in
the UK.
Logline: Carrie
Mathison
(Clair Danes) is
a CIA operations officer who as a result
of conducting an
unauthorized operation
in Iraq, is now in probation and
reassigned to the
counter terrorism
center.
She was warned that a US
prisonerofwarhas been turned by
the Al-Qaeda when she
was in Iraq. The US soldier who
possibly
turned to the terrorist group is believed
to be Sergeant Nicholas
Brody of the
United States Marine Corps.
Though he is hailed as a war hero,
Carrie believes otherwise and begins to
watch him closely in attempt to
Catch
him out.

›The Homeland Series was created by both
‘Alex Gansa’ and ‘Howard Gordon’. Alex Gansa
as the executive producer while Howard Gordon was the producer for the series.
There were no Directors when developing the series to it’s current standing.
› Howard Gordon: Howard
Gordon is a producer and writer. He is known for his involvement in television
series like ‘24’, The X-files and of course Homeland.
Howard Gordon, has been involved in ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’, ‘Sisters’ and
‘Awake’

Gansa
is like Howard,
also a producer and writer.
Alex is famously involved in
projects like ‘The Beauty and
the Beast’, ‘24’ and like
Howards again,
‘Homeland’.
Alex’s other involvements as
an executive producer include
‘Numb3rs’, ‘Entourage’,
‘Wolf Lake’ and ‘Dawson’s creek’.

Why I have chosen this series
›I chosen this series mainly because, of
the camera shot styles. The camera shots are not entirely mounted based giving
a little bit of a more realistic first person shot. This would give an immersed
audience the feeling that they are in the series themselves. Also the tense and
paranoiac atmosphere of the series attracted me to choosing this series which
is demonstrated by it’s fast paced scenes where the cast is constantly on edge
which also attracts an immersed audience into thinking what will happen in the
next few seconds. Aside from all of that the only reason left into why I chose
this series was mainly because it was a series that attracted me most for this
unit.
