Genre: Casual Drama, very slight hints of romance

Equilibrium sequence: Normal equilibrium – disruption of equilibrium and acknowledgement of disruption – attempt to repair the equilibrium – equilibrium restored.

Story: The sort for Post it, involves a young man who gathered the belongings to his deceased mother from her workplace and arrives at a bus stop to head home. A young woman was sitting at the bus stop when he arrived and aware of this the young man decided not to sit down at the bus stop’s bench though there were more than enough space to fit up to 3-4 people. The girl notices this and offers him to sit down to which he declines stating that doesn’t mind standing. The girl then proceeds to tell him that there is plenty of room and jokingly states that she is not intimidating. The young man reluctantly agrees to sit down but in the farthest point of the bench away from the girl, which then the girl decides to strike up a conversation with the guy by asking him what’s in the box where the guy at first answers her stating that there is nothing, which then the girl states that he holds it as it there is something, to which he guy explains that the contents of the box were office equipment like picture frames, post it notes, staplers, paper clips and pens. The girl introduces herself, which prompts the guy to introduce himself. The girl believing that the guy lost his job apologizes for his loss, which puzzles the guy and tells her that he hasn’t lost his job and explains further that the contents of the box belonged to his mother before she died recently. He begins to go on about how his mother worked at a nearby company for many years and that due to her job that she would already be gone when he guts up to school and that she would always leave behind little post it notes ion the door and he also comments on how his mother’s personality is the complete opposite to his own, stating that his mother always had something nice to say about someone else while he on the other hand had nothing to say. The girl then assumes and states that he’s waiting for an opportunity to arrive for him to say something nice to someone.  It was at this moment that an adult would sit between the guy and the girl, surprising them at first until the girl used it as an opportunity to get the young guy to say something nice to someone else. After the girl comments on the guy’s shirt stating that it’s nice while the guy commented that the man’s moustache was nice, both the guy and girl heads off and begins to write and draw positive commentary about every stranger’s features they meet. At the end of the day the guy sends one final positive comment to the girl stating that she was nosey, at which they both laugh and leaves the shot ending the short film.

Inspiration: In terms to dialogue there wasn’t much in terms of content that would inspire me to use as a written format, however the nature of the 2 main characters, one being open and friendly while the other being more closed off and nervous has inspired me for the development of the character profiles for the project. I liked how one was carefree and nosey while the other character was the complete opposite. The story is friendly and communication based where two completely different personalities meet and merge together with the use of post it notes and the enjoyment of their time. There was a lot of dialogue throughout the short film however it gave more depth than breath when it came to the dialogue.  I would possible use the character personalities as a form of inspiration for the project.
